McMillions (2020) - HBO Docuseries

"HBO McMillions" is a six-part documentary series that aired on HBO in 2020. The series tells the story of a massive fraud scheme that took place during the late 1990s involving the popular McDonald's Monopoly game. This project involved re-creating McDonald’s packaging and promotional materials of the ‘90’s accurately within the specific color and material parameters authentic to this iconic branding. The graphic challenge was to create elements that rang true to the era and the aesthetic, while not being able to identically reproduce the required assets. Much time was spent becoming familiar with the 1990s brand identity in order to convincingly re-produce props, signage, and set pieces.
